Movie: The Shaggy Dog
August 14, 2006 on 4:29 pm | In Movies | No CommentsA virus is turning Tim Allen into an adorable sheep dog.
A fun Disney movie that I would’ve enjoyed immensely if I were 20yrs younger…
But until I have kids to watch these Disney movies with… I’m of the opinion that Tim Allen writes funnier books than he can make funny movies.
Still, a decent movie nonetheless. With a really talented canine star.

Looks like a fun movie.
But no laughs from me.
Movie: Identity
August 14, 2006 on 4:15 pm | In Movies | No CommentsAh… just watched this movie again.
The best whodunit thriller that has come out in recent times. It’s got John Cusack, it’s got Dr. Cox.
It’s got a brilliant plot. A brilliant build-up. A brilliant twist.
It definitely puts me to mind of Agatha Christie’s Ten Little Indians.
Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant.
Movie: é¾è™Žé—¨
August 14, 2006 on 4:09 pm | In Movies | No CommentsNever read the comic. They’re somewhat before my time.
Only reason I’m watching this is because of Donnie Yen. Super impressed by him since seeing him in SPL.
The plot of the movie? Didn’t suck too bad. Not read the comics, so I had no idea how accurate it was to the original. But it’s certainly far better than ä¸åŽè‹±é›„. But that’s not really much of a praise either.
The plot is rather simple. A business man, who’s a very talented & dedicated martial artist and also knows a fair bit about the healing arts, took some tough measures to solidify his street cred. Then three punks out of nowhere got involved in the fight, ganged up on him, and beat him to a pulp.
Didn’t really care about the character development or acting. This movie is all about the kungfu, and makes little pretense otherwise. A fair bit of budget was blown doing some very visually satisfying effects. But the parts that look ‘real’ are the parts one really cares about.
So, if you switch off your brain and don’t nitpick, it’s quite a nice movie to watch.
It’s all about Donnie Yen, see.
