A Constitutional Amendment??!!

November 30, 2007 on 11:16 am | In Rants | 1 Comment

Why the hell is there a constitutional amendment proposed to raise the retirement age of Election Commission members by one year to 66??

They’re actually proposing a constitutional amendment just to give the b@$t@rd Election Commission chairman Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman to work another year??

Is the Malaysian constitution written on toilet paper?

Just cos the ruling party needs a butt-load of phantom votes next year, they can rewrite the constitution and keep their lap-dog there?

What! The! Frack!

Why do these things exist?

It’s kinda funny. And lots of points for creativity, that’s for sure.

Chris has got to be the worst fighter ever created! His kick makes him pee his pants. His punches slaps his own face. His power moves make him cry and another makes him knock himself onto the floor. Only one of his power moves does anything, but that knocks out 40% of the opponent’s life, no matter where he’s standing.

It’s a time waster. But funny if you’ve watched the cartoons.

Book: Why We Want You To Be Rich - Trump / Kiyosaki

Caught this book at a random trip to MPH. Sat down for a few hours and read half the book.

The essence of the book can be boiled down to:

- Common sense rocks!

- You have to be smart and find your own way to be rich.

And in between, there are more than one amusing anecdotes of how Trump saves money for his company by buying the right chairs.

The book doesn’t give you step by steps to getting rich, but it’s full of wisdom like: starting a business isn’t for everybody, etc.

It’s all COMMON SENSE!!

But at least it’s better than those Money Back Guaranteed Courses To Make Money On The Stock Market. The book has sensible advice, that I presume are not commonly known. Common sense being the oxymoron that it is…

There’s also a lot of dire warnings about America’s debts, social security, Medicare etc that’s going to bankrupt the country and all of Gen X and Y will break their backs under the debts incurred by the Baby Boomers.

These are all stuff I already know. Anyone with more than one source of financial news (other than the TV) should have known that there is something seriously wrong with the economy for some time now. Read more http://financialsense.com. You don’t get straight news like this from the mainstream media for the same reason you don’t rely on MLM health product promoters for health & dietary advice.

Now, maybe when the assessment comes from Trump, it’ll have more credibility, and people will start listening to me instead of accusing me of being an extreme pessimist.

The sky is falling, I tell you!! Pay off your debts, and invest in gold or silver! Disdain mutual trust funds. And get your money out of New Zealand! That’s another disaster waiting to happen. Don’t be fooled by the 14% interest rate for deposits.

Well, back to the book… If you’ve never read a Kiyosaki book, you can read this. You’ll learn just as much as Rich Dad. It’s just the same core knowledge wrapped up with a different recipe of anecdotes. But I do thank this book for pointing me to Buffetology. I’ll give that one a read next.

Movie: License to Wed

Robin Williams movie.

Boy and girl wants to get married. Eccentric pastor insists that they must pass his marriage fitness test before allowing them to perform the ceremony at his church.

Attempted comedy and tepid romance ensues.

Nothing funny happens. Just a lot of marriage cliches.

Movie: Bee Movie

Andrew just pointed me to http://www.tvokay.com

Streaming video. Tried it out, and it’s as laggy as YouTube sometimes get… But still watchable, if you pause the streaming for a couple of minutes before you start watching.

Used it to watch Bee Movie.

A rather bad cartoon. Not as bad as The Wild. But then nothing can be as bad as The Wild. Well, maybe Barbie As The Island Princess can… but I do not have a suicidal impulse, so I’ll rather not make that judgment for myself.

Completely pointless story. It’s impossible to suspend disbelief to follow the plot. It’s so stupid that it can’t amuse an 8 year old. The internal logic of the movie is terribly flawed. Kinda like when I watched Robots, but that one had Robin Williams and a lot more visual gags to amuse.

Bee Movie only has Jerry Seinfeld. He’s a very successful stand-up comedian, but he can’t carry a whole movie on his shoulders.

It’s fun to hear Patrick Warburton in the movie too. But he doesn’t even get any funny lines. (He’s Jerry’s mechanic. Elaine’s boyfriend for a while. Joe in Family Guy. Cronk in Emperor’s New Groove. The Tick. etc) He’s got a funny voice, but no good lines.

Do give this a miss.
