Busy Week

Monday night

Drove to Puchong to meet a buyer who’s interested in my Tamron 28-300mm lens. Had actually met the guy a week ago, but somehow the lens wasn’t working on his camera!! Luckily I managed to clean some contacts, and got the lens working and completed the sale this day. Probably to tell me that it’s about time I grow up spritually…

Tuesday night

Kempo. Was supposed to meet up with my pastor too, but forgot to bring cell phone out. Been to that church almost a dozen years, and the pastor called me out all of a sudden. Thought there might be something he wanted to discuss.

Wednesday night

Met up with a seller and bought my first Pentax Limited lens, a DA 40mm. It’s a beaut. The guy is getting married, and thus liquidating his equipment for funds. Congrats to him. Happiness too for me!

Thursday night

Met up with cousin for dinner. Need to pass her my passport cos she’s going back to Sibu. Need to get my passport to my dad cos we’re going to Beijing in June and we need visas made.

Dinner was banana leaf rice at Kanna. For rm4.80, you get all the rice, vegetables, curry, sambal, deep-fried chilli as you can stomach. Not amazingly good, but very generous. The best thing though, is their fried chicken, which is ALWAYS deep fried to the PERFECT texture: tender, yet wholly cooked. Perfect timing.

Ended up discussing theology and atheism. Just happened to be listening to Richard Dawkin’s The God Delusion too.

After dinner, followed with yumcha with Pastor Peter. Didn’t bring up my spiritual immaturity. Just chit chatted.

Friday afternoon

Gold dipped about US$20/oz cos the G-20 managed to convince a few fools that they’ve managed to fix everything and prosperity is going to get back on track. I instead chose to use this opportunity to secure my savings in metal form. Had to drive all the way to PJ old town for a UOB branch that happened to have 4 oz of the yellow metal. Got there just in time too. 7 minutes after sitting at the counter, another lady rushed in and asked if they’ve got any more stock. I was splitting the last 4 oz with a disciple in contrarian-economics.

Friday night

Another game of Battlestar Galactica. 4 player game. Forced an FTL jump prematuredly just to trigger the Sleeper phase on Kobol. Didn’t end up being a Cylon this time even when playing Gaius Baltar. 2 humans vs 2 Cylons was quite impossible to win for Galactica.
