Movie: Wolverine Origins

Kinda cool that someone managed to get the working copy of this much anticipated summer blockbuster.

It’s all over the torrents, and it looks pretty good.  The movie is pretty much completed, almost everything cut and edited. Only a few CG effects left to be put in, like stuff even a stuntman should not be doing, and the climatic nuclear reactor scenes.

I’ve read the Origin story many years ago. It was 6 issues dealing with Wolverine’s childhood. The main elements of this story was used for the first 5 minutes of the film, and the rest is new.

Sabretooth obviously must be there. Gambit’s presence is just gratuitious and unimportant. Young Cyclops. Xavier appears for like 2 seconds.

The protagonist, is again, your typical evil / rogue / power-mad / extreme prejudiced / American general who wants to kill everyone. Nothing new to see here.

Story was pretty predictable. But so what, the whole point of the movie was to pander to the fan-boys, and I think they managed that.
