New 3-D animation from Tim Burton.

Something not unlike The Nightmare Before Christmas, but not as juvenile.

A sentient rag-doll awakens in a post-apocalyptic future where mankind is no more.

Doll 9, voiced by Elijah Woods, finds and meets his 8 other brothers and sister. Adventure ensues.

It’s Toy Story meets Fallout 2 meets Matrix.

At first it appears to be a science fiction, but it’s very light on sci-fi elements, barring the machines-killed-humanity future. The rest of the plot is more along the lines of a slay-the-dragon trope typical of fantasy stories. Then it gets a The Spirits Within ending, and the line is blurred again.

But fun, is fun. Great animation. Good plot and pacing. Very very enjoyable.
